Lord Murugan is a popular Hindu deity of the Tamil Land also known as the God of the Tamils. Lord Murugan is a Lord of beauty and wisdom. Standing at 42. 7 meter (140. 09 ft) high, it is considered the world’s tallest statue of Lord Murugan. The statue, which cost approximately Rupees 24 million (US$670,000), is made of 1550 cubic meters of concrete, 250 tons of steel bars and 300 liters of gold paint brought in from Thailand.
